Adhivakta Parishad is Organizing its 1st National Virtual Criminal Moot Court Competition, 2020 to be held on 6th November to 8th November 2020. Given the prevailing circumstances we all, especially lawyers and law students, are compelled to sit inside our homes.

Adhivakta Parishad, understanding the plight of students, is organizing an event which will be a whole new opportunity to turn things around and make the most of our time by upgrading our skill sets, enriching growth and knowledge, making this time productive. While pursuing a career in law, it is vital to ace research and mooting skills.

About Adhivakta Parishad

Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad (ABAP) is a Pan India Organisation of Lawyers which is at the forefront of engagement with law and the Indian Judicial System for sustainable and equitable development of the Nation. Therefore, it is the largest Lawyers’ Organisation in the country.

It is a part of a larger family of patriots who have dedicated themselves to rebuilding our nation. Also, the organisation makes the right interventions within justice delivery systems and contributes to law making process for the welfare of people and rejuvenation of institutions vital for the nation.

Further we would like to take this opportunity to highlight the importance of this online event as it promotes the idea of Social Distancing despite bringing in the law students together on a single platform. The main objective of the competition is to appraise the students about presenting the case, drafting memorials and arguing the case from either side on the basis of evidence and substantive questions of law to prove their case before the court.

Team Composition 

Each team shall comprise of maximum three (3) and members only, consisting of two (2) speakers and one (1) researcher or minimum two members consisting of two speakers.

Eligibility

Participation is restricted to bona-fide law students either enrolled in the 3-year L.L.B Law course or the 5-year integrated Law course. Participation is limited to only one team per college or university.

Location and Timing

The tentative time slot for the proceedings shall be from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on 6th November to 8th November  2020, and also, the moot court proceedings shall be conducted via Google Meet.

The last date for submission of Memorials is 30th October 2020.

Registration Procedure

All interested Law colleges must provisionally register themselves by simply sending an email before 30th September,2020 on adhivaktaparishaddelhi1@gmail.com .

Also, there is no registration fee.
