Memo Pundits is India’s first ed-tech that focuses on the “practical” skill building for law students. Founded in 2014 by Anant Gupta and Rachnendra Tripathi, it is a unique platform that provides online courses, workshops and mentorships on subjects such as mooting, researching, internships, networking, career building, etc.
What sets it apart is its teaching methodology, which is far from traditional Indian online courses. All online courses and workshops are based on the unconventional “Active Learning” model, which makes sure that learning is always fun!
Memo Pundits engages professionals from Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford and other Top-tier NLUs and lawyers from foreign firms like Linklaters and HSF, and domestic firms like Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, J. Sagar Associates and Khaitan & Co.
CEO & Co-founder
Anant graduated from National Law University Odisha in 2016. He worked with the Banking Law team of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. for 2 years. He passed with High Honours in Harvard Business School’s Business Fundamental course (CORe). Throughout his law school, Anant remained an active mooter with a considerable number of achievements to his name. Having conducted over 100 webinars, his vision is to reach all in need of guidance. He is also the recipient of an Under 30 National Award for being an inspiring entrepreneur in the ed-tech industry. He is also a musician and a mountaineer.
COO & Co-founder
Rachnendra graduated from National Law University Odisha in 2016 and practiced litigation. His passion for mooting was evident right from his first moot court competition where his team bagged the “Best Memorial” and “Runners Up” citation at G.H. Raisoni Moot Court Competition. His exceptional memorial making skills have helped at least 15 moot teams win the “Best Memorial” citation at national and international moot courts such as the Philip C. Jessup International Moot.

Dr. Nachiketa Mittal
Dr. Nachiketa Mittal has been advising Memo Pundits since its inception in 2014. He was formerly Dean In-charge of the Unitedworld School of Law, Karnavati University and a former faculty of law in the National Law University Odisha (NLUO), India. He has also worked with the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India in the Supreme Court of India on invitation as Assistant Registrar (Research). Dr. Mittal has worked in more than 150 villages of India as part of several research and empowerment programs for women, children and disadvantaged groups and indigenous population.

Mr. Tariq Khan was recognized as the youngest BW (Business World) Legal 40 under 40. An arbitration expert, he has represented some of the biggest global players in various disputes. He was enlisted in the Forbes Legal Powerlist, 2020-2021 as one of the top individual lawyers. He has also featured in Fortune 500 (India) magazine for authoring the best seller book ‘On the Rise’ published by Universal Law Publishing (an imprint of Lexis Nexis). He has more than 50 publications to his credit in various journals, magazines and popular legal news portals.

Rodney D. Ryder (Rodney Ryder) is a partner with Scriboard; a full service law firm with an intellectual property, technology and media specialist practice. Mr. Ryder has been nominated as a ‘Leading Lawyer’ in his areas of practice by Asia Law, Who’sWhoLegal amongst other International publications. He is presently Advisor to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India on the implementation of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Mr. Ryder is Adjunct Professor (legal management) to the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML).

Sonali Malhotra made it to Forbes India’s “Top Individual Lawyers for Litigation” in 2020. With a 19 year practice, she is currently the Principal Litigating Lawyer & Co-managing Head at SM & Associates Law Chamber.Sonali has been a litigation lawyer for over 19 years. A well-respected member of the legal fraternity, Sonali leverages her expertise and experience in fostering and mentoring law students. Outside her work, she enjoys music, hiking, reading, and writing on various topics.
Employment Law Advisor
Ms. Anjuli Marwah works as a Senior Associate with the Labour and Employment Law team at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi. She regularly advises on the labor and employment law matters pertaining to employee benefits, sexual harassment/discrimination claims, employee immigration, and transfer/transition of employees pursuant to cross-border mergers. She also devotes her time to mentoring aspiring lawyers by providing insights into career paths, resume building, cover letter, job/internship applications, interview skills and professionalism.
Pratyaksha is from School Of Law, UPES Dehradun. She is a passionate reader, a dedicated researcher having keen interest in mooting and drafting. Omvir Singh is from Army Institute of Law, Mohali. His interest in the mooting field is evident from his achievements in several national and international moots including Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot, Oxford Price Media Law Moot (South Asia) Rounds, Leidin Sarin International Air Law Moot and Henry Dunant Moot Court Competition.
Rituparna Padhy is from National Law University Odisha and has a keen interest in ADR. A staunch believer of the “learning is a lifetime journey” adage, she has considerable experience in content development, research, and mooting, and is always striving to expand her skillset.
Indraneel is from UPES School of Law, Dehradun. He finds his purpose in contributing substantially to the legal fraternity via his research and writing skills. He has written several eminent pieces and has published for the United Nations, The Daily Guardian, and Legal Service India among others.
